As stewards focus on implementing their business continuity plans and protecting the health and safety of their staff and customers, CSSA and Recycle BC want to advise that it is maintaining its ability to provide service and assistance while taking all necessary precautions.
All CSSA and Recycle BC team members are working remotely and travel bans have been in place for more than two weeks. In the event you have had recent contact with any team members, we are pleased and thankful to report we have no reported cases of COVID-19 illness.
Some stewards have contacted CSSA to inquire if there will be any changes to reporting and/or payment deadlines. CSSA knows that some of you will be unable to meet this year’s May 31 reporting deadline, and understands that many will likely require relief measures during these unprecedented times. CSSA is currently working with Recycle BC to finalize what action can be taken to provide support – we expect to provide more information on this in the near future.
In the meantime, CSSA’s National Steward Services (NSS) team appreciates the efforts of stewards who have already submitted their reports. If you are able to meet the reporting deadline we encourage you to do so and thank you for your efforts. If you have already collected your data and have any questions or need assistance, please contact NSS at 1-888-980-9549 or stewards@cssalliance.ca.
Finally, CSSA and Recycle BC extend our deepest thanks for keeping your co-workers and neighbors healthy and safe while the world meets the challenges of this rapidly evolving situation.
