Background
Under the BC Recycling Regulation, producers of packaging and printed paper (PPP) must assume responsibility for recovery of PPP as of May 2014. Multi-Material British Columbia (MMBC) submitted a PPP Stewardship Plan, which describes how producers will meet this requirement, to the Ministry of Environment (MOE) on November 19, 2012, as required by the Recycling Regulation.
While the MOE is considering the PPP Stewardship Plan, MMBC is preparing to implement the plan. During these preparations, MMBC wants to continue to dialogue with those with an interest in PPP recovery.
