Residents in Abbotsford are now able to take their packaging and paper recyclables to Abbotsford Bottle Depot, without charge, as it joins the Recycle BC network of more than 200 depots. This depot provides an additional location to drop off glass and plastic bags as Abbotsford joins the Recycle BC program for curbside collection.
Abbotsford Mission Recycling Depot, located at 33670 Valley Road, Abbotsford, BC accepts all materials in Recycle BC’s residential packaging and paper recycling program, including non-deposit glass bottles and jars, plastic bags and plastic foam packaging. In addition, they also collect curbside recycling materials such as newsprint, cardboard, metal containers, plastic containers, spiral wound cans and paper packaging that held liquid when sold, such as coffee cups and soup cartons. The depot accepts materials dropped off during their regular business hours, daily, 8am – 5pm.
“We are pleased to increase depot access for Abbotsford residents,” said Allen Langdon, Managing Director of Recycle BC. “Now that Abbotsford has joined the Recycle BC program, we want to ensure depot access is readily available to residents, so all materials that can be responsibly recycled are, including materials not accepted in curbside recycling like plastic bags, foam packaging and glass.”
