Materials that should be collected during the community event are:

  • Plastic bags and overwrap
  • Other flexible plastic packaging

Plastic bags and overwrap

Other flexible plastic packaging

These two material categories are also accepted at depots and London Drugs locations. By expanding the collection opportunities, we hope to collect more of this material in our system and keep it out of landfill.

Collecting these materials separately allows us to effectively process and recycle more of the material. These two materials are managed differently in the post-collection process so keeping them separate is important.
