September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We acknowledge and reflect upon the history and experiences of Indigenous peoples in Canada. Observing National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is an opportunity to increase awareness, promote understanding, and support reconciliation.

Below are resources as published by the Province of British Columbia for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation:

Our team regularly visits communities across BC as part of our work for both the First Nations Recycling Initiative and Recycle BC. We embrace the importance of reconciliation and express gratitude to the communities and cultures that welcome us.

If you are interested in getting involved, the Province of British Columbia has published B.C. Event Listings and have also provided a host of Learning Resources for Orange Shirt Day/National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2024.

We invite you to join the Recycle BC team in reflection on September 30, and every day, to continue on the path to reconciliation.
