Recycle BC Service Update – Red Bluff & Lhtako Dene Nation

Service Update – Quesnel Area

Beginning on October 7, 2025, Recycle BC will provide households of Red Bluff and the Lhtako Dene Nation with curbside recycling services for their packaging and paper products. Recycle BC has contracted Emterra Environmental for curbside recycling services for the Lhtako Dene Nation and in the Red Bluff area.

New reusable boxes to set out curbside recycling materials will be delivered to each household on the weekend of September 20-21, 2025. Recycling will be collected in three separate material categories: paper (blue box), containers (blue box), and glass (grey box). A recycling guide and information sheet summarizing how materials are to be sorted for collection will be provided together with the recycling boxes.

Collection will take place every two weeks on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, depending on your service area, beginning on October 7, 2025. Check the recycling guide provided for your collection day or view a digital guide on our website.

Materials that are not accepted curbside are flexible plastics (such as plastic bags, chip bags, and bubble wrap) and foam packaging (such as rigid foam packing for electronics and appliances). These items can continue to be dropped off at the Quesnel Recycling Centre (950 Carson Pit Rd., Quesnel, V2J 7H2) for recycling.
