Once you have determined that you are an obligated steward or are signing up as a voluntary steward and have registered (and signed a Membership Agreement), it is time to begin collecting data for your report.
Reporting deadline: May 31 (extended to July 31 in 2020)
Each designated packaging and paper product material is associated with a fee rate. For each obligation year, fee rates are carefully calculated to ensure fairness and to cover the costs associated with collection, transportation and processing of each material.
Registered Steward Lists & Change Log
A list of voluntary and resident stewards for each program will be posted, making it easier for retailers and other first importers to understand which suppliers’ products to include or exclude from their reports.
It’s possible for stewards to make errors when submitting their steward reports. Recycle BC understands this and provides stewards with an opportunity to go back and correct those errors.
