Valentine’s Day Recycling In’s and Out’s

Love is in the air — and recycling is piling up! When you’re picking up something special for your valentine this year, keep our handy Valentine’s Day Ins and Outs tip sheet in mind. This year, we have the coveted endorsement from local recycling influencer, Bearnice – welcome back!

There are many items that can be recycled like paper gift wrap, boxes, bags, and cards right at home. For other items, like candy wrappers or plastic net bags that hold chocolate treats, you’ll need to make a quick visit to a Recycle BC depot or London Drugs location. Find one near you with our online map, or download the Recycle BC app.

And of course, you can always aim for a zero-waste holiday and try to find reusable gift and packaging alternatives.
