MMBC has Clarified Aspects of Agreement and Statements of Work to Assist Collectors in Responding to Collection Incentives for Residential PPP

Multi-Material British Columbia (MBBC) has revised four documents that are important to collectors considering if they will accept MMBC’s financial incentives to provide residential packaging and printed paper (PPP) collection services under the PPP Stewardship Plan.

The revisions are intended to clarify confusion regarding MMBC’s intentions to establish good business relationships with collectors.

Key revisions include:

Master Services Agreement

  • Added a new recital to reflect MMBC’s desire to resolve issues through dialogue and to establish, on all sides, good business relationships
  • Section 2.2 Changes: restructured for clarity, added Contractor’s right to request a change and modified timeframe for responding to change request
  • Section 13.1 Termination for Convenience: added Contractor’s right to terminate for convenience

Statement of Work for Curbside Collection Services by Local Government

  • Section 6.2 Scavenging Forbidden: added “if permitted by law” for clarity
  • Attachment 3.4 Service Level Failure Credits: clarified the service level failure credit for late reporting applies to Section 3.3.1, revised the service level failure credit for 3% non-PPP to include maximum credit value and clarified that the service level failure credit risk for labour disruption is mitigated if Sections 4.6.1 and 4.6.2 have been met and a Business Continuity Plan has been implemented

Statement of Work for Multi-Family Building Collection Services
